Puissance

Variety whets the appetite and opens one’s eyes to see more deeply the meanings of life. Nomadic rugs, and paintings of the 16th, 17th, and 18th century court artisans, while almost of opposing design, set my dream world in motion. There is such boldness of design in nomadic pieces.
While those created for the Safavid courts were bold, they were also tellers of wondrous tales. There was power in both designs, and in the telling of their stories. The detail was incredibly artistic. This, of course, called up in me a depth of introspection on the meanings of life on many levels.

And so I dreamed:

Animals of the grasslands arise at the very break of first light, such beauty before them. Dreamer that I am, I placed the lion and the lioness with a stream nearby, amid the grasses and the fertile valley. All was well.
Always provision was near at hand—always basic life desires were nurtured. Always a keenness for the very essence of the experience of living was fostered.
Puissance means many things, but among them are vigor and vitality - as well as might and power. May we all live in such dimension, acknowledging the pathways of our journey, being nurtured by those nearby, and, of course, experiencing the quest.
